Emma Howis
Speech and Language Therapist
Kia ora and welcome to Emma Howis Speech and Language Therapy.
Emma is a Speech and Language Pathologist with 26 years experience, who is working independently in Christchurch, New Zealand, offering assessments and therapy for preschool and school aged tamariki who have speech, language and communication difficulties. Emma’s aim is to improve children’s speech and language skills whilst keeping therapy fun, motivating and stimulating. She believes in working alongside whānau and those working closely with the child, to help develop the skills that will enable them to further enhance their child’s communication.
About Emma
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Canterbury in 1998, Emma has worked with preschool and school aged children with speech and language difficulties in the public and private sector in both New Zealand and England. Emma is highly experienced in working with children presenting with a wide variety of speech, language and communication difficulties. She has a special interest in working with children with speech sound disorders.
Emma is a certified member of The New Zealand Speech and Language Therapists Association (NZSTA).
